Last week, my good friend Dilan sent me a text that I had to come join him, as he was shooting a matte black roller. As is often the case I was nose deep in start-up minutia, so I had to take a pass. Looking at this video I am mad at myself for not joining him…..wow, this car is sick.

Matte Black Lamborghini LP560-4 Gallardo!
So I really liek the whole Flat black look…..but I’m starting to wonder if it’s getting played out. Why? Well, it started with people just not caring about hwo the car looked, and instead spending money on performance. You would take that 993 Porsche out of the garage and straight to the track, perhaps put a can of Krylon paint on it and call it a day. Well, folks started to Flat black exotics and luxury cars creating that whole ironic twist of “do you really not care about how it looks, really? You bought a Mercedes SLR and really don’t care about bling?”
Well, now I just found out that Lamborhini is offering flat black paint as a standard option……okay, done now. When a manufacturer puts something on a option check list, it’s now about as unique as a blue tooth hands free or Nav system.
